On Sunday, October 28th, the Roosevelt Island Racquet Club in New York held the 9th annual Tennis Against Breast Cancer Tennis Challenge. Participants were treated to a day of Round Robin Play, Pro Exhibitions and Celebrity fun to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Fund at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

TABC Founder and Executive Director Maureen Rankine gathered together touring pro and commentator Luke Jensen, Davis Cup Captain Patrick McEnroe and former WTA star Lynn Wild to play against contributors, as well as actors Eddie Cibrian (Third Watch), Dennis Haysbert (24), Wesley Ramsey (Guiding Light), Herve Clermont (One Life To Live) and Jack Mulcahy (Sex In The City).

All of the attendees had fun mingling (and playing) with the celebrities and lots of money was raised for this worthy cause.

Pat McEnroe & Luke Jensen played an exhibition doubles match against Roosevelt Island Pros Phil Rankine & Medhy Karbid.
Sports memorabilia was donated for a raffle by Dale Purinton of the Rangers, Duke Snider of the Dodgers and Marcus Soleman of the Jets, among others.
