2004 NCAA DIVISION II CHAMPIONSHIPS
The West Florida men (pictured right) won their first NCAA Division II Championship. Though the team always kept their place in the rankings, they came up short at the national finals. As Coach Derrick Racine said, "Everything went right all week and we were able to pull out a tough match." For Brigham Young University-Hawaii it was a third consecutive title. The Seasiders have dominated NCAA Division II women's tennis with seven wins in eight years. Head Coach Dave Porter, who has a total of nine titles when you include the ones he's won with the men's team, gives all the credit to his players. | ||
