Ashley Weinhold is celebrating her 17th birthday with multiple wins on the USTA Professional Circuit. The Texas teen has thus far won two doubles titles and one singles event, in her home state of Texas. Ashley, and partner Nina Munch-Soegaard, also made the doubles final in that event. * * *

Dunlop is getting into Junior Tennis in a big way. They have announced The D-Squad, a new initiative to provide Dunlop equipment and support to top juniors between the ages of 10-18. The program is for juniors ranked top 50 nationally, based on USTA quarterly rankings. * * *
The USTA has announced an alliance with the Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton to provide training and year-round housing for top juniors at that facility. According to the USTA, the move is "launching a new era in the program's mission to develop the next generation of American tennis champions." * * *
Participants for the World Junior Tennis Finals were determined at the final round of European Summer Cups. The finals will take place August 7-12 in Prostejov of the Czech Republic. The 32 qualifying teams are:
