The Andy Roddick Foundation announced plans to develop an $8.2 million tennis center complex based in the recreational community at CastelRock, Texas. The Andy Roddick Foundation International Tennis Center will be the most environmentally consious facility in the U.S. and will focus on competitive tennis in the Southwest. Mark Kovacs, a former junior and NCAA champion, and Dr. Adam Shafran, a former college players, trainer and coach, have developed a free radio show/podcast for tennis players. World TeamTennis (WTT) signed a three-year agreemeent with Novo Nordisk for the pharmaceutical company to sponsor scholarships for young tennis players with diabetes. The Novo Nordisk Donnelly Awards will annually award $15,000 in scholarships, including two one-time $5,000 scholarships given to two players between 14-21 who have diabetes and play competitively in tournaments or on their school team. Two regional finalists awards of $2,500 each have also been added to the scholarship
