PLAYERS OF THE Year
This year's ITA Players of the Year represent a vast selection of players and schools and include a freshman and a pair of twins.
![]() Amer Delic is the first player from Illinois -- and only the second Big Ten player-- to be named the Men's Player of the Year. The junior won the NCAA singles championship and was a finalist in two other ITA Grand Slam tournaments this year -- the Omni National Indoors and the Icy Hot/ITA All-Americans. (The only other players who have reached three national finals in one year are James Blake and Sargis Sargisian.)
![]() Christina Fusano and Raquel Kops-Jones of the University of California-Berkeley are this year's Women's National Doubles Team of the Year. They won the title at the NCAA Championships and were semifinalists at the Omni Hotels National Indoors. The duo had also been named National Doubles Team of the Month in both March and April.
