Michigan State's women used the hometown advantage to capture seven singles titles and one doubles at the Spartan Invitational. The winners were Christine Bader, Stephanie Kebler, Manon Noe, Michelle Murphy, Lindsey Lonergan, Whitney Wilson & Marianne Eelens. * * *
Georgia Tech's Guillermo Gomez defeated Georgia's Jamie Hunt in then finals to take the Georgia Tech Fall Tournament singles. Tech's Scott Blackmon & Ryan Smith won doubles. * * *
At the Southern Intercollegiate Championships, South Carolina's Gira Schofield took the top flights in singles and doubles (with Ana Marija Zubori). * * *
The University of Alabama picked up three titles at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships with Andrew Felsenthal winning the Hanna Singles and Tide doubles with Houssam Yassine and Sammy Struyf taking the Stabler bracket. The hometown team also narrowly missed a fourth as Daniel Buikema & Mathieu Thibaudeau fell in the finals of the top doubles bracket to Ted Angelinos & Lee Singer of Virginia. William & Mary sophomores Ragini Acharya & Magdalena Bresson claimed a trio of titles at the Hampton Roads Collegiate Invitational, with Flight A singles and Flight B singles & doubles. * * *
