At the Adidas Tennis Classic in Atlanta, Georgia, Luduvic Walter of Duke defeated Matt Scott of Notre Dame in the men's final, 6-1,6-3. Alexis Gordon of Florida took the women's singles over Duke's Amanda Johnson, 6-3,6-4. Doubles were cancelled due to bad weather. * * *

Notre Dame completed the Crowne Plaza Invitional with a perfect 11-0 record on the final day of play. The Irish were winners in three of four singles flights and one doubles. * * *

Tigran Martirosyan of Kentucky defeated Andreas Lauland of Virginia Tech, 6-3,3-6,6-4, in the finals of the Charles Fluitt Invitational. * * *
San Diego State University has budgeted $750,000 for a new structure at the Aztecs Tennis Center to include new coaches offices and locker rooms. The school is looking for additional funding to complete the project. * * *
Coaching Changes...After 17 NCAA Championships over 37 seasons, Stanford's Dick Gould has announced his retirement from coaching. Among the players that Coach Gould has coached to notoriety are John & Patrick McEnroe, Bob & Mike Bryan, Gene Mayer and Roscoe Tanner. Longtime Assistant Coach John Whitlinger will take over the Cardinals next fall. * * *
