Amer Delic, who won the 2003 NCAA Championships while at the University of Illinois, made it to the round of 16 at the Sony Ericsson Open. Amer's run included an upset over fourth-seeded Nikolay Davydenko. The 24 year old was ranked 89 in the world prior to the tournament. * * *
The International Tennis Hall of Fame has chosen BYU-Hawaii coach David Porter as the recipient of a 2006 Tennis Educational Merit Award. The award was given during the USTA Annual Meeting. * * *
The result of the March 21st women's USC-Fresno State match has been reversed. According to the ITA, "due to a lineup vioulation the match, originally a 4-3 Fresno State win, is now considered a USC victory for Fila ranking purposes." * * *
2004 NCAA Champion Benjamin Becker was named ATP Newcomer of the Year for 2006. The former Baylor standout climbed from 419 to 58 in 2006 rankings. * * *

Middle Tennessee State wheelchair players Kevin Green & Michael Paul were victorius at the national championships. Kevin prevailing in singles over Michael, 6-3,6-2, before the two teamed to win the doubles, 9-8. * * *
William & Mary men's coach Peter Daub captured his 200th win for the Tribe. Coach Daub has been with the team for 14 seasons. * * *
University of Alabama's Jason Jung was the recipient of the Sportsmanship Award at the Blue Gray National Tournament. The Crimson Tide made it to the finals of the event before falling to Notre Dame. * * *
